Our Campaign made history on election night. Despite being massively outspent, we proved that people power can defeat money. I want to thank all of our volunteers and supporters. This victory is yours, not mine. Now, our work to help this community begins.
Jobs and the Economy
The most important issue for Floridians is creating jobs. Small businesses are the largest sources of new jobs. We can only move our economy forward with a government that promotes small business. We must also focus on investing in our state’s infrastructure. Projects like high speed rail and other construction projects can create thousands of jobs for Floridians.
Education
Florida’s public education system is one of the most under funded in the country. Our children cannot become successful, self-sufficient individuals without a world-class education. Businesses will only bring jobs to Florida if they are sure that they can hire educated, skilled workers. Our economy depends on Florida’s public education system. When our state faces budget deficits, the first area that faces cuts is public education. As your representative, I will protect funding for our public schools. Since the USF campus is a vital part of our community in district 63, I promise to be an advocate for the University and its students. I promise to protect state funding for USF from budget slashing politicians in Tallahassee.
